We still haven't heard back from Activision on the matter. Apparently you can't actually download the free version of Destiny (yet?), which is a bit of a blow to our "not a cock up" theory. Log into Xbox Live and you can grab the original version of the shared-worlds shooter on Xbox 360 or Xbox One at no cost.
Vanilla Destiny is currently available for free on Xbox platforms.
Destiny is free, and has been for long enough that we're starting to think it's not just a classic console storefront cock up.
